Light beams tend to radiate from a light source in all directions - from 1 to 360 degrees in all dimensions of space. The sun, or even a good old fashioned light bulb clearly demonstrate this tendency. While the inclination to scatter is useful in many applications, it is the enemy of the photographer seeking to control the direction and intensity of light.

The Mola's efficiency is equal to or better than other modified parabolic reflectors, and thanks to a specially formulated reflector coating, Mola reflectors produce light of exceptional clarity. In use, Mola reflectors provide a slight warming effect to light. Internal and external diffusers are used to modify light temperature and dampen UV light output.
Mola's light clarity, efficiency, outstanding light control and choice of four sizes makes Mola reflectors ideal for a wide range of photographic jobs, especially those regularly handled by less efficient boxlights.

LIGHT SHAPING | Top
Mola Euro and Demi create an even core of light surrounded by a smoothly graduated feathered edge... about a half a stop difference from the center to outer edge. Because the Mola reflects lights natural shape, the natural pearly aura of complexion highlights are accentuated, and have an unusual opportunity to precisely control the intensity of specular highlighting.
The Setti allows the flash head to move along the center axis and in this way can radiate a varied stream of light by a simply moving the position of the flash tube within the deep contours of the reflector which makes the Setti unique from the Euro and Demi.
With recent modifications to the Series 98 Setti reflector, you can now use a wide variety of stationary flash heads and still achieve a more directional source than that of the Euro or Demi.
To create different effects, light feathering can be easily modified by diffusion -- by using the front nylon diffuser in conjunction with the interior opal diffusion glass. This combination of diffusion either together or used separately makes the Mola Euro, Demi and the Mola Setti, extraordinarily flexible light shaping tools.

LIGHT DISTRIBUTION | Top
The Mola's light feathering pattern is the same whether you move to the top, bottom or either side of the center axis. Box lights, with their combination of curved and straight sides, are unable to achieve this balance.
The Setti heightens the light energy and concentrates the light to produce greater contrast along with a harder edge unlike that of the Euro or Demi. reduce light scatter, photographers use reflectors which gather beams headed in the wrong direction and redirect them toward a subject. Unfortunately, many of the common reflector configurations now available are either unwieldy or inefficient.
That's why we have created the Mola reflectors. Mola's unique patented designs allow you to get more work out of less light. Designed by a photographer for photographers, the Mola reflectors captures and focuses light with maximum efficiency. It is shaped to intercept all paths of light, no matter which direction they leave the flash tube, and redirect them toward the subject. This is a big improvement on most square boxlights, which can only focus a portion of the light available.

UNIFIED SWIVEL HANDLE | Top
The swivel handle combines the best of the Molidae and Griff swivel handles to create the Unified swivel handle.
This new handle combines a new stand adapter and a hand grip in one which evenly distributes the weight of the reflector, balancing and stabilizing the reflector solidly over a light stand or boom.
The Unified swivel handle makes it easy to adjust the reflectors' illumination angle, no matter how frequently adjustments must be made.

Superior Performance by Design
The Mola Mantti (43.5") (Click for image) is the largest of our four designs, with a shallow profile of 9.5" deep. It's purpose is to create a high efficiency broad source by compressing the body of the Euro reflector by 25% and increasing it's surface area by 30%.
The Mola Euro (33.5") (Click for image) is the essential studio light, it's unique design concentrates light using it's patented shape to heighten output, yet still providing a feathered edge falloff. The Euro is ideal for fashion, beauty and product.
The Mola Setti (28.0") (Click for image) is uniquely shaped and differs dramatically from the Mantti, Euro or Demi. The Setti's deep narrow profile increases contrast and delivers a directional quality which is perfect for Black and White as well as Colour images which require a noticably distinct edge.
The Mola Demi (22.0") (Click for image) is a scaled down version of the Euro in every respect. The Demi is a perfect companion on location from corporate portraits to beauty, or in the studio as a main light or companion fill light for the Euro or Mantti.
